See the happy moron, he doesn't give a damn. I wish I were a moron.. My gosh, perhaps I am! -James Webb Young (or Dorothy Parker or anonymous) |
Reviews I heard before I myself got to watch the film ranged from a just-passing 6 to a better-than-the-ultimate-superhero-movie (The Avengers) rating! And yes, the ratings came with spoilers!!! I just HAD to watch for myself!
Running for a whopping 165 minutes, The Dark Knight Rises rose beyond my expectations (based on the spoilers I have heard). Gripping with extraordinary twists and the ending I prefer over all other endings, Christopher Nolan did great!
But, I’d have to disagree with the best-of-them-all ratings. I give it a 7 out of 10 for the plot holes and the lack of cinematic shebang. After the first scene my reaction was, “Anyare??” (“What happened?”). That would seem wonderful, having the audience hooked and eager the first 5 seconds into the movie. However, until the credits ended, my question had been left unanswered.
I don’t think anyone can counter Anne Hathaway’s claim to being the best and hottest Catwoman of them all, rolling her eyes into this easy win.
